The BIG GIG, which will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the John Paul Jones Arena, promises to be our most successful gala yet. Our theme is Safari Nights, and you will be mesmerized by the magical transformation of the space. We are excited to introduce new music and entertainment to the event this year, and we have collected many never-before-seen silent and live auction surprises. So please mark your calendar and plan to come!

The BIG GIG is the annual marquee gala fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia. This event alone raises 20% of our nearly $1M operating budget every year, and brings a significant portion of the community together in support of the Club's mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Through the efforts of the volunteers of the BIG GIG and the money raised the night of the gala, the Clubs of Central Virginia are able to provide critical programs to more than 1,200 children a year at six sites in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Madison and Orange.
